Iespējamie drošības dilemmas riski - Ķīnas un ASV attiecībās Dienvidķīnas jūras reģionā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā aplūkotas Ķīnas un ASV attiecības 21. gadsimtā saistībā ar Dienvidķīnas jūras reģionu. Darba mērķis ir apskatīt ASV un Ķīnas attiecības caur drošības dilemmas prizmu. Tiks apskatīts drošības dilemmas koncepts, tā attīstības vēsture un veidošanās nosacījumi. Tiks veikta analīze, balstoties uz šī brīža situāciju starp ASV un Ķīnu, noskaidrots, kādā drošības dilemmas posmā ir abu valstu attiecības – pasīvajā, aktivizētajā, akūtajā vai spirālē. Darbā izvirzīta hipotēze: ASV un Ķīnas attiecības ir nonākušas drošības dilemmas drošības dilemmas modeļa pedējā posmā – aktivizētajā drošības dilemmā. Minētā hipotēze pētījuma gaitā apstiprinājās.

The main focus of this thesis is the relationship between the United States and China and its implications with regard to the South China Sea in the 21st century. The goal is to research this American-Chinese relationship through the prism of security dilemma. The concept of security dilemma, its development and the conditions that are necessary to form the dilemma, are charectarized. The analysis is based on the exploration of the current situation between the U.S. and China. The work seeks to conclude what phase of the security dilemma the American-Chinese relationship currently is: in dormant, activated or deep security dilemma, or in the spiral. The following hypothesis was developed: the American-Chinese relationship currently is in the activited phase of the security dilemma. The hypothesis proved to be correct.
