Dažādu operatīvo dienestu darbinieku personības iezīmes IPIP-50 BFM skatījumā

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai operatīvo dienestu darbiniekiem un citu profesiju pārstāvjiem pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas personības iezīmju atšķirības Latvijas kultūrvidē. Tika izvirzīti pētījuma jautājumi par operatīvā dienesta personības iezīmēm attiecībā vienam pret otru un citu profesiju pārstāvjiem IPIP – 50 Lielā Piecinieka marķieru (IPIP-50 BFM) un Īsās asu izjūtu meklēšanas skalas (BSSS) skatījumā. Pētījumā piedalījās 876 respondenti (676 operatīvo dienestu darbinieki un 200 citu profesiju pārstāvji) vecumā no 19 līdz 78 gadiem (M=37,88, SD=10,75). Dati no respondentiem tika ievākti gan frontāli, gan internetā. Pētījumā tika adaptēta BSSS un uzlabota IPIP-50 BFM psihometriskie rādītāji, nomai-not 11 pantus. Analīzes rezultātā tika apstiprināta BSSS faktora struktūra un uzlaboti psihometriskie rādītāji IPIP-50 BFM. Tādējādi, ir pilnveidotas iespējas izmantot norādītos mērījuma instrumentus Latvijas kultūrvidē, ievērojot darba autores ieteikumus. Tika izpētīta “glābēja personība” Latvijas kultūrvidē, iezīmējoties dienestam specifiskām personības iezīmēm.

The purpose of the study was to find out whether there are statistically significant differences in personality traits for employees of emergency services and representatives of other professions in the Latvian cultural environment. Research questions were raised about the personality traits of the emergency service in relation to each other and other professions in view of the IPIP - 50 Big Five Markers (IPIP-50 BFM) and the Brief Sensation Seeking Scale (BSSS). The study involved 876 respondents (676 emergency services workers and 200 representatives of other professions) aged 19 to 78 years (M = 37,88, SD = 10,75). Data from respondents were collected both frontally and online. The study adapted the BSSS and improved the psychometric performance of the IPIP-50 BFM by replacing 11 items. The analysis confirmed the structure of the BSSS factor and improved the psychometric performance of the IPIP-50 BFM. Thus, the possibilities to use the indicated measurement instruments in the Latvian cultural environment have been improved, observing the recommendations of the author. The “rescue personality” in the Latvian cultural environment was studied, highlighting the service-specific personality traits.
