Abstract
Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Tēlainība politikas valodā”. No visiem tēlainās izteiksmes līdzekļiem šajā darbā tiek aplūkotas metaforas. Darba mērķis ir konstatēt metaforu tipus un to funkcijas runās, kas izskan no Saeimas tribīnes. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek raksturots politikas jēdziens un indivīda vieta politikā, noskaidrotas politikas valodas galvenās iezīmes, kā arī pētīts metaforas jēdziens.
Topic of the thesis is “Figurative Language in Political Discourse”. From all forms of figurative expression, the focus of this thesis are metaphors. Goal of this thesis is to explore types and functions of metaphors used in speeches voiced at Saeima. Theoretical part of this thesis deals with definition of politics and characterization of the place of of the individual in politics; determining features of political language and exploring the concept of metapfor.
