Abstract
Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt ekonomiskās izaugsmes un atkritumu apjoma savstarpējo saistību Latvijā, izvērtējot, vai valstī ir sasniegts vides Kuzneta līknes lūzumpunkts. Darbā analizēti statistikas dati par IKP un dažādām atkritumu plūsmām, izmantojot korelācijas analīzi. Rezultāti liecina, ka attiecīgajās jomās Latvijā ir sasniegts pozitīvs pavērsiens attiecībā uz atkritumu pārvaldību, bet pārsvarā vēl vajag attīstīties. Darba ietvaros veikta arī salīdzinoša analīze ar citām ES valstīm.
The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to examine the relationship between economic growth and the volume of waste in Latvia, evaluating whether the environmental Kuznets curve turning point has been reached. The study analyzes statistical data on GDP and various waste streams using correlation analysis. The results indicate a positive shift in certain aspects of waste management in Latvia. A comparative analysis with other EU countries was also conducted.
