Latvijas armijas komandiera štābs 1924.-1929.gadā: Operatīvās daļas darbības pamatprincipi

Abstract

Darbā tiks apskatīts Latvijas historiogrāfijā iepriekš nepētīts temats – Armijas komandiera štāba Operatīvās daļas darbība. Mērķis ir konstatēt galvenos Operatīvās daļas darbības virzienus un rezultātus Armijas komandiera štāba pastāvēšanas laikā (1924. – 1929. gads). Uzmanība tiek pievērsta materiāliem, kuri saglabājušies par informācijas ievākšanu, izlūkošanas darbu Latvijā un PSRS, liela mēroga mācību organizēšanu, kā arī latviešu militārpersonu darbību ārzemēs. Operatīvās daļas darbība koncentrējās uz informāciju, tās ievākšanu un apstrādi. Apkopojot ziņas par mobilizācijas plāniem, armijas ikdienas dzīvi, Latvijas pierobežas reģionu topogrāfiju, naidīgās PSRS armiju un ekonomiku, un potenciālo sabiedroto kaujas spējām, šīs struktūras darbu var uzskatīt par vienu no svarīgākajiem starpkaru Latvijas aizsardzības stūrakmeņiem.

The thesis describes a topic that was previously unexplored in Latvian historiography – the Operative unit of the Headquarters of the Commander of the Latvian Army. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the directions and results of the work of the Operative unit during the existance of the Headquarters of the Commander of the Latvian Army (1924 – 1929). The thesis will use available documents about the work of the Operative unit, such as information gathering, reconnaissance in Latvia and the USSR, preparation of large scale training excercises, and work of Latvian military personnel abroad. The primary focus for the Operative unit was gathering and processing information. Considering the value of collecting information about mobilisation plans, daily life of the army, topography of Latvia’s border regions, army and economy of the hostile USSR, and military strength of potential allies, the work of this unit should be considered as an important part of the defense of interwar period Latvia.
