Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Latvijas Universitātes zinātnieku publikācijas un citējamība pedagoģijas nozarē”. Mērķis ir noskaidrot Latvijas Universitātes zinātnieku publikāciju skaitu un citējamību pedagoģijas nozarē citējamības datubāzēs Scopus un Web of Science un salīdzināt ar pārējo Baltijas valstu zinātnieku sniegumu pedagoģijas nozarē. Teorētisko bāzi veido bibliometrijas teorija. Pētījuma laikā gūtie rezultāti norāda, ka pēc indeksēto zinātnisko publikāciju skaita LU ir konkurētspējīga ar citām Latvijas zinātniskajām institūcijām, bet nav konkurētspējīga ar Baltijas valstu ietekmīgākajām zinātniskajām institūcijām.

The topic of the bachelor thesis is “Publications and citation indexes of the scientists of the University of Latvia in the field of education”. The goal of the research is to determine the productivity of the scientists of the University of Latvia in the feald of education, by analysing such publications in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The theoretical basis of the research is the theory of bibliometrics. The results of the research are that the University of Latvia is impactful when compared to the scientific institutions of Latvia, but is not impactful when compared with the most impactful scientific institutions of the Baltic States.
