Ģeogrāfisko nosaukumu autoritatīvo ierakstu veidošana: teorija un prakse

Abstract

Pētījums tika izstrādāts ar mērķi izpētīt ģeogrāfisko nosaukumu autoritatīvo ierakstu veidošanas metodikas pielietošanu praksē, jo ģeogrāfiskie nosaukumi ir nozīmīgi piekļuves punkti informācijas meklēšanā. Pētījumā, izmantojot dokumentu analīzi, analizēta ģeogrāfisko nosaukumu autoritatīvo ierakstu veidošanas metodika un to veidošanu ietekmējošie kultūrvēsturiskie un valodnieciskie aspekti. Izmantojot salīdzinošo analīzi, salīdzināta LNB un ASV Kongresa bibliotēkas prakse šo autoritatīvo ierakstu veidošanā. Izmantojot intervijas, apzinātas to kvalitātes uzlabošanas iespējas. Pētījumā tika noskaidrota kultūrvēsturisko un valodniecisko aspektu ietekme uz autoritatīvo ierakstu veidošanu un apzinātas ierakstu kvalitātes uzlabošanas iespējas.

The research was designed with the aim of exploring the use of geographical authority records methodology in the practice, since geographic names are important access points in searching for information. The document analysis was used to study the authority records of geographical names and the cultural and historical and linguistic aspects that influence their formation. Using comparative analysis, the National Library of Latvia and Library of Congress practice has been compared to the creation of these authority records. Through interviews, the possibilities of improving their quality has been identified. The research were studied the influence of cultural and linguistic aspects on the creation of authority records, and improved possibilities for improving the quality of records.
