Pamatizglītības nozīme demokrātiskā valstī

Abstract

Sākot no 2020. gada marta, līdz pat šī darba pabeigšanas dienai, Latvija ir piedzīvojusi smagu izglītības sistēmas krīzi, kuras cēloņi meklējami Covid-19 radītajā pandēmijā. Ierobežojumi slimības prevencijai radīja apgrūtinājumus izglītības gūšanai, tādēļ darba mērķis ir noskaidrot šo notikumu potenciālas sekas demokrātiskas valsts nākotnē. Jau rakstot šo darbu, eskalējās Ukrainas karš, kas sākās 2014. gadā, tādēļ, darbā tiek veikta izpēte arī pilsoniskās apziņas izglītības jomā. Šie globālie notikumi ir raisījuši bakalaura darba izvēlētās tēmas aktualitāti. Darba uzdevums ir izskatīt gan tiesību normu potenciālos uzlabojumus, gan potenciālos zaudējumus, kas varētu celties no izglītības sistēmas krīzes. Visnotaļ svarīga izpēte jāveic arī par izglītības nozīmi sabiedrībā un noskaidrot tās ietekmi uz demokrātijas pastāvēšanu. Ņemot vērā iepriekš minēto, autors izvēlējās bakalaura darba tēmu “Pamatizglītības nozīme demokrātiskā valstī”. Darba rezultātā noskaidrots, ka izglītībai ir būtiska nozīme demokrātijas izveidē un saglabāšanā, kā arī sabiedrības iniciatīvas veicināšanā.

From March 2020 until the date of completion of this work, Latvia has experienced a severe crisis in the educational system, the causes of which can be traced to the pandemic created by Covid-19. Restrictions on disease prevention have made it difficult to access education in a form that was used before, so the aim of this work is to find out the potential consequences of these events for the future of a democracy. At the time of writing this thesis, the war in Ukraine, which began in 2014, escalated, so more research is being done in the field of civic education. These global events have caused the actuality of the chosen topic of the bachelor's thesis. The main tasks of the work are to research both the improvements of legal norms and the potential losses that could arise from the crisis of the education system. The importance of education in society and its impact on the existence of democracy must also be researched. Taking into account the above, the author chooses the topic of the bachelor's thesis "The role of basic education in a democratic state". As a result of the work, it has been shown that education plays an important role in the establishment and maintenance of democracy, as well as in the promotion of social initiative.
