Abstract
Asu izjūtu meklēšanas aptaujā statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības parādījās tikai vienā no četriem rādītājiem. Attieksmē pret pārgalvīgu braukšanu neparādījās statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības ne autosportistiem un parastiem autovadītājiem, ne respondentiem ar augstāku asu izjūtu meklēšanas līmeni un zemāku asu izjūtu meklēšanas līmeni.
Atslēgvārdi: asu izjūtu meklēšana, autovadītāji, autosportisti, riskanta braukšana, attieksme
The aim of the current study was to discover whether there are differences in sensation seeking between professional’s drivers and drivers without interests about auto sport, are there any differences in attitudes to dangerous driving. In the research participated 67 men aged 18-30. 35 of them were racing driver, 32 ordinary drivers. Respondents were asked to fill in 2 forms: 1) Brief sensation seeking scale /BSSS/. (Stephenson, 2003) and 2) Attitudes to reckless driving inventory. (Iversen, 2004) For data analyses was used SPSS program. The results showed that there are no differences in sensation seeking between professional’s drivers and drivers without interests about auto sport, statistically significant differences showed only in one of four indicators. There are no differences in attitudes to dangerous driving not between professional’s drivers and drivers without interests about auto sport not those with a higher sensation seeking level and lower. Key words: sensation seeking, drivers, racing drivers, dangerous driving, attitude
