Dalītā pilsētvides telpa un skeitborda subkultūra tajā

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir pētīt kā sabiedrība piedzīvo un dala publisko telpu pilsētas vidē un kā šīs sadzīves rezultātā tiek konstruētas tās dalībnieku sociālās identitātes. Par galvenajām pētījuma vietām izvēlēti laukumi pie Latvijas Nacionālas bibliotēkas un Latvijas Nacionālā mākslas muzeja, kā arī dažas no skaitbordistu biežāk izmantotajām Rīgas ielām. Darba teorētiskais ietvars ir balstīts M. Rodmanas idejā, ka tā pati telpa iegūst dažādas nozīmes caur tās lietotāju pieredzēm, kā arī S. Lovas telpas sociālās telpas konstruēšanas definīcijā, kur nozīme tiek piešķirta caur cilvēku pieredzēm šajā telpā¬. Pētījums ir veikts analizējot lauka novērojuma un interviju laikā iegūtos datus. Lauka darba rezultāti norāda, ka Rīgas pilsētai vajadzētu ciešāk sadarboties ar skeitborda kopienu, jo tai ir dziļa ietekme uz jauniešu interešu veidošanās un dzīvesstila izvēles procesiem un tai ir liela nozīme mikrorajonu padarīšanā par drošāku vidi, kurā to iedzīvotājiem nodoties aktīvam dzīvesveidam.

The aim of the thesis is to explore how shared space in the city is lived and experienced by the society and how social identities of its inhabitants are constructed through that process. Main places of observation are the squares in front of the National Library of Latvia and the Latvian National Museum of Art, as well as some of Riga's streets most often frequented by skateboarders. The theoretical framework of the thesis is mainly based on M. Rodman's idea of places gaining different meanings through different experiences of their users and S. Low's definition of social construction of space by granting meaning through people's experiences in those spaces. Research was carried out by analyzing data collected during field observations and interviews. The results show that Riga should cooperate with the skateboarding community more because it has a deep impact on the formation of young people's interests and lifestyle choices and it is important in making local communities a safer environment for engaging in an active lifestyle.
