Abstract
Šī promocijas darbamērķis izpētīt proteīnus, kas regulē infekcijas aģentu mijiedarbību ar saimniekorganisma iekšējo vidi.Lai sasniegtu šo mērķi,tika pētītitrīs proteīni no diviem atšķirīgiem infekciozajiem aģentiem, izmantojot kodolu magnētisko rezonansi. Divi no tiem ir Laimasslimību izraisošās baktērijas Borreliaburgdorferivirsmas lipoproteīni, BBP28 un BBA03un viens ir prionu proteīns,kura nepareiza salocīšanās fibrillās zīdītājosizraisa transmisīvo sūkļveida encefalopātiju. Atslēgvārdi:infekcijas aģents,Laima slimība,transmisīvā sūkļveida encefalopātija,Borrelia burgdorferi, prions
The objective of this thesiswas to study proteins that govern the interactionmechanismsof infectious agentswith the internalenvironment of the host.To reach this goal, three proteins from two different infectious agentswere studiedusingnuclear magnetic resonance(NMR). Two ofthem,BBA03 and BBP28, are outer surface proteins (OSPs) of Lyme disease-causing bacteria, Borrelia burgdorferiand oneis prion protein (PrP), which can misfold into fibrils and cause TSEsin mammals. Keywords: infection agent, Lyme disease, transmissible spongiform encephalopathy, Borrelia burgdorferi, prions
