Abstract

Maģistra darbā „Skola skolēnu atbiruma veicinošo faktoru izpētē” līdztekus skolēnu atbirumu veicinošo faktoru analīzei sniegts padziļināts ieskats viena aģenta iespējās ietekmēt jauniešu akadēmiskās intereses un motivāciju pamatizglītības apguves laikā. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot skolas un izglītības sistēmas lomu skolēnu atbiruma veicināšanā, proti, vai dažādi skolas un izglītības sistēmas aspekti var veicināt riska grupas bērnu – skolēnu, kuriem mācīšanās grūtību un ģimenē un vienaudžu vidū gūtās sociālās pieredzes dēļ pastāv lielāks risks atbirt no skolas – lēmumu ilgstoši kavēt mācības vai pamest skolu. Pētījumā ietverta likumdošanas un statistikas datu analīze, riska grupas bērnu un atbirušo skolēnu aptauja, kā arī ekspertu intervijas.

In master’s thesis “School in the Research of Contributing Factors of Early School Dropping Out” the factors that contribute to pupil dropout from school are analyzed and an insight is given in the potential of one agent to impact youth’s academic interests and motivation in the process of attaining primary education. The goal of the research is to determine the role of school and education system in the process of dropping out, i.e., it is determined whether various aspects of school and education system can contribute to risk group children’s decision not to attend lessons or to leave school. Risk group children are defined as pupils who, because of learning difficulties and their social background (family and peers), have a greater risk to drop out from school. The research includes an analysis of legislation and statistical data, a survey of risk group children and dropouts, as well as expert interviews.
