Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Informācijas struktūra angļu valodas teikumos’’, 2007 – 69 lapas. Darbs apskata galvenās domas struktūru angļu valodas teikumos un paskaidro tēmas un rēmas tematisko attiecību. Šī darba tēma dod ieguldījumu ziņu diskursa analīzei, lai atlasītu frontēšanas piemērus, kuri attēlo tematiski un informacionāli iezīmētu teikuma uzbūvi. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no trijām nodaļām un no tām izrietošajām apakšnodaļām. Darba pirmajā nodaļā aprakstīti informācijas struktūras jēdzieni, attiecībā uz prosodijas aspektiem, informācijas fokusu un informācijas tematisko struktūru. Otrā nodaļa sniedz analītisko informāciju par gramatiskajiem teikuma informācijas struktūras aspektiem. Trešajā nodaļā aprakstīts empīriskais pētījums, kas veikts divos ziņu diskursos. Darbā iekļauta tabula, kas norāda atšķirības starp topic+commen un theme+rheme informācijas struktūrām teikumā. Bachelor paper “Information Structure in the English Clauses’’, 2007 – 69 pages. The paper concerns the message structure of the English clause and explains the functions of the thematic theme and rheme relations in the clause. The topic of the paper contributes to the analysis of the news discourse to recognize patterns of fronting that represents thematically and informationally marked sentence structure. Bachelor paper consists of three chapters and resultant subchapters. The first chapter of the paper describes concepts of the information structure in regard to the prosodic aspects, information focus and the thematic structure of the information. The second chapter contains analytical information about the grammatical aspects of the information structure in a clause. The third chapter presents the empirical investigation carried out in two news discourse. The work includes a table that clarifies the distinction between topic+coment and theme+rheme information structure in the clause. Also appendices, bibliography and a list of other sources are included. Key words: prosody, theme, rheme, fronting
