Pilna teikuma definīciju analīze 'Kobilda' vārdnīcās

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek pētītas pilna teikuma definīcijas un to īpatnības KOBILDA vārdnīcās. KOBILDA pilna teikuma definēšanas stils kļuva par pavērsienu vārdnīcu pasaulē, piedāvājot pilnīgi jaunu pieeju vārdnīcu rakstīšanai. Tādējādi bakalaura darbā ir iekļauti secinājumi, kas atspoguļo lietotāju attieksmi pret KOBILDA definīciju. Darba empīriskā pētījuma metode ir gadījumu izpēte, datu vākšanas tehnika – aptaujas anketēšana, kas ir analizēta no kvalitatīvā un kvantitatīvā viedokļa. Analīze atklāj, ka pilna teikuma definīcijas nav priekšroka salīdzinājumā ar citiem definīciju veidiem, jo lielākā daļa respondentu dod priekšroku tradicionālākiem definēšanas stiliem. Turklāt analīze rāda, ka leksikogrāfi ir mainījuši formāta struktūru.

The present paper examines the peculiarities of the full-sentence defining format in the COBUILD dictionaries. The COBUILD full-sentence defining style became a turnaround in the world of dictionaries offering an absolutely new approach to dictionary-writing. Thus, the paper introduces the findings that reflect the users’ attitude towards the COBUILD definition. The empirical research method in the paper is case study, the data collection technique is a questionnaire survey that is analysed from qualitative and quantitative perspective. The analysis reveals that full-sentence definitions are not favoured over the other types of definitions, because the majority of learners prefer more traditional defining styles. Moreover, the analysis shows that the lexicographers have changed the structure of the format.
