Abstract

Latvijas Republikas Zemessardze ir skaitliski lielākā Nacionālo bruņoto spēku struktūra. Latvijas Republikas Zemessardze īsteno valsts aizsardzības funkciju, kas ir viena no būtiskākajām valsts suverēnās varas jomām. No šīs funkcijas efektīvas īstenošanas ir atkarīga valsts drošība. Lai arī valsts aizsardzības funkcijas ir ārkārtīgi svarīgas, līdz šīm militāro tiesību joma Latvijā ir ārkārtīgi maz pētīta. Pētījuma mērķis ir dienesta Latvijas Republikas Zemessardzē kā tiesību institūta izpēte, izzinot šī dienesta veida tiesiskā regulējuma un tā piemērošanas problēmas un izvirzot priekšlikumus regulējuma pilnveidošanai. Lai iegūtu pilnvērtīgu priekšstatu, ir aktuāli izpētīt dienestu Latvijas Republikas Zemessardzē visā karjeras garumā, sākot ar uzņemšanu Latvijas Republikas Zemessardzē un beidzot ar dienesta tiesisko attiecību izbeigšanos.
