BALTIJAS JŪRAS KURZEMES KRASTA DINAMIKA
Anotācija
Darbā apskatīti svarīgākie jautājumi, kas saistīti ar jūras krasta ģeoloģiskajiem
procesiem Baltijas jūras Kurzemes piekrastē. Apkopota informācija par jūras krastu
ģeoloģisko procesu izpētes vēsturi Latvijā un par galvenajām nozarē lietotajām pētījumu
metodēm. Sniegts pārskats par jūras krasta zonas uzbūvi, galvenajiem tās elementiem un
krasta nogāzes virsūdens daļas reljefa parametriem Baltijas jūras Kurzemes piekrastē.
Pētījumā ir analizētas krasta zonas ģeogrāfiskās rajonēšanas problēmas, akcentējot
atšķirības starp morfoģenētisko un morfodinamisko pieeju. Balstoties uz Latvijas jūras
krastu ģeoloģisko procesu monitoringa sistēmā un autora paša pētījumos iegūto datu par
mūsdienu jūras krastu dinamiku analīzi, piedāvāta jūras krasta zonas divpakāpju
rajonēšanas shēma un izdalīti tipiskie krasta nogāzes virsūdens daļas šķērsprofili pēc
pludmali un aktīvo eolo reljefu veidojošo sanešu daudzuma.

DYNAMIC OF THE KURZEME COAST OF THE BALTIC PROPER Abstract The paper addresses main issues related to coastal geological processes along the Kurzeme coast of the Baltic Proper. General information on previous investigations of the coastal geological processes in Latvia and main research methods used is summarized. The paper provides an overview of the coastal zone composition, its main elements and variations in topography characteristics of the subaerial part of the coastal slope in different parts along the Kurzeme coast of the Baltic Proper. The study analyzed problems associated with geographical regionalization of the coastal zone emphasizing the differences between the morphogenetic and morphodynamic approach. Based on the anlysis of the data from monitoring of coastal geological processes and from the author's own studies of the coastal dynamics, dual level division of coastal zone of the Kurzeme coast of the Baltic Proper is proposed, by the typical cross-sections of the subaerial part, depending on sediment volume diferences in beach and active aeolian part of coastal slope.
