Abstract
Bakalaura darbā „Latvijas Brīvības cīņu pieminekļu veidošana, postīšana un saglabāšana (1920 - 1957)” tiek pētīts Latvijas Brīvības cīņu pieminekļu veidošanas process, būtiskākie saglabāšanās priekšnosacījumi, postīšana un iznīcināšana no 1920. līdz 1957. gadam. Pētījumā iekļauti tie Brīvības cīņām veltītie monumentālās un memoriālās tēlniecības darbi, kas no 1920. līdz 1940. gadam uzstādīti kapos, kauju vietās un apdzīvotu vietu centros visā Latvijā. Darbā aplūkotā hronoloģiskā robeža ietver vairākus politiskos režīmus, kuriem mainoties, arī šo pieminekļu interpretācija un statuss mainījās.
The Bachelor's Paper "Establishment, destruction and preservation of monuments dedicated to Latvian Freedom battles" studies the process of establishment of monuments dedicated to Latvian Freedom battles, the most significant pre-conditions for preservation, destruction and liquidation thereof between 1920 and 1957. The research covers those works of monumental and memorial sculpture dedicated to Freedom battles, which were installed in cemeteries, battle places and centres of populated areas across the whole Latvia between 1920 and 1940. The Paper examines chronological boundary, which includes several political regimes, upon the change of which the interpretation as well as status of those monuments has changed.
