Teoloģisko tekstu tulkošanas īpatnības ekumeniskā kontekstā

Abstract

Diplomdarbs „Teoloģisku tekstu tulkošanas īpatnības ekumeniskā kontekstā” skar ļoti specifisku tulkošanas nozari. Vairākums teoloģisku tekstu ir konfesionāli – parasti tie apskata teoloģiskus jautājumus viena kristīgās ticības virziena ietvaros. Ekumeniskais konteksts nozīmē, ka teoloģiskie temati tiek apskatīti no ļoti dažādiem viedokļiem. Savukārt, tas ir saistīts ar daudzām īpatnībām, kuras tulkotājam būtu jāapzinās. Šajā darbā ir konspektīvi apskatīti Baznīcas vēstures lielie posmi un ekumeniskā kustība kā raksturīga iezīme Baznīcas vēsturē kopš 20. gadsimta, analizēta vārdu „teoloģija” un „ekumenisms” izcelsme un nozīme. Tulkošanas aspektā ir skarti psiholingvistikas un valodas varas jautājumi. Pētījuma mērķis – konstatēt šī ekumeniskā konteksta tulkošanas īpatnības.

The diploma paper „ Peculiarities of translation of theological texts in ecumenical context” concerns a very specific branch of translation. The majority of theological texts are denominational – usually they deal with theological questions within one branch of christian faith. The ecumenical context means that theological issues are examined from very different points of view. This, in its turn, is connected with many particularities that translator ought to know. This paper deals with great periods of Church history very concisely and with the ecumenical movement as a characteristic feature of Church history in the 20th century; the origin and meaning of words „theology” and „ecumenism” is analyzed as well. Matters of psycholinguistics and the power of language are considered in the aspect of translation. The aim of this study – to establish the particularities of this ecumenical context.
