Interneta atkarības saistība ar vecāku emocionālo siltumu un kontroli jauniešiem.

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt saistības starp interneta atkarību un vecāku emocionālo siltumu un kontroli, kā arī starp interneta atkarību un internetā pavadīto laika daudzumu. Pētījumā piedalījās 96 jaunieši vecumā no 18 līdz 26 gadiem, vidējais vecums 23. Vecāku emocionālā siltuma un kontroles novērtēšanai tika izmantota Vecāku attieksmes aptauja (Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI), Parker & Tupling, 1979), savukārt interneta atkarības novērtēšanai - Interneta atkarības skalas (Internet Addiction Scale (IAS), Nichols & Nicki, 2004). Lai noskaidrotu respondentu internetā pavadīto laika daudzumu, aptaujā tika ietverts papildjautājums: Cik stundu dienā vidēji Jūs mēdzat lietot internetu? Pētījuma rezultāti norāda, ka pastāv statistiski nozīmīga negatīva sakarība starp mātes emocionālo siltumu un pašnovērtēto interneta atkarību, pastāv arī statistiski nozīmīga pozitīva saistība starp mātes pārmērīgo kontroli un pašnovērtēto interneta atkarību. Tika konstatēta arī pozitīva saistība starp interneta atkarību un internetā pavadīto laika daudzumu.

The aim of the study was to explore relationship between internet addiction and parents’ emotional warmth and control as well as relationship between internet addiction and amount of internet use. A sample of ninety six youth was selected. The age for the group was 18 to 26 years of age. The middle age of all participants was 23 years. The Parental Bonding Instrument (Parker & Tupling, 1979) was applied to measure the parental emotional warmth and control level of participants. The Internet Addiction Scale (Internet Addiction Scale (IAS), Nichols & Nicki, 2004) was applied to measure the internet addiction level. To define amount of internet use in survey was included one more question: How many hours average per day you are using the Internet usually? The study results yielded significant negative correlation between mother emotional warmth and self-appraisal of youth internet addiction, as well as significant positive correlation between mother control and self-appraisal of youth internet addiction. There is a significant positive correlation between internet addiction and amount of internet use.
