Jauniešu motivācija iesaistīties musulmaņu draudzēs Latvijā

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba tēma ir „Jauniešu motivācija iesaistīties musulmaņu draudzēs Latvijā”. Latvijas sabiedrība dzīvo atbilstoši Rietumeiropas kultūras un tradīciju standartiem, tomēr, neskatoties uz to, jaunieši Latvijā izvēlas pievienoties musulmaņu kopienai, kuras vērtības un dzīves prakses ir pretējas rietumnieciskajam modelim. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot motīvus, kas jauniešus Latvijā mudina pieņem islāmu un iesaistīties musulmaņu kopienā. Lai sasniegtu šo izvirzīto mērķi, tika veiktas 10 intervijas ar jauniešiem, kas vecuma posmā no 18-25 gadiem pieņēma islāmu un iesaistījās draudzē, kā arī viena ekspertintervija. Pētījumā iegūtie dati liecina, ka dominējošais motīvs, lai pieņemtu islāmu un iesaistītos draudzē, jauniešu vidū ir dzīves jēgas un nozīmes meklējumi un vajadzība pēc noteiktas reliģiskās identitātes. Jauniešu izvēli pievienoties musulmaņu kopienai ietekmēja arī tādi faktori, kā neapmierinātība ar kristīgo baznīcu un rietumu moderno sabiedrību, tās vērtībām.

The theme of this bachelor paper is „Youth Motivation to participate in Muslim parishes in Latvia”. Latvian society lives in accordance with standards of culture and traditions of Western Europe. Yet youth in Latvia choose to join Muslim community, which has values and practices of life opposite to pattern of West. The aim of this paper is to clarify those motifs which occur when youth decide to convert in Islam and get into Muslim community. The research was done within the framework of qualitative methodology by using in-depth interview method. The empirical part of the paper is based on 10 in-depth interviews with young people who have adopted Islam at the time when they were 18 – 25 years old, and on one expert interview. In this survey acquired data testify that the dominant motif to convert in Islam and join the parish is searching for life meaning and need for religious identity. The choice to associate with Muslim parishes has been affected by factors such as frustration in Christianity and modern society of the West and its values
