Abstract
Šī pētījuma temats balstās uz veidu kā savās novelēs Musulmaņu pasauli un kultūru attēlo Salmans Rušdī. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir atklāt un izzināt Rušdī metodes, kuras viņš izmanto, lai attēlotu Musulmaņu pasauli savos darbos.
Lai sasniegtu mērķi tika izmantotas sekojošās metodes: literatūras apskats un Rušdī darbu analīze. Rezultāti tiks atspoguļoti Rušdī viedokļos un attieksmē pret Musulmaņu kultūru. Tika secināts, ka viņa (Rušdī) skatījums uz Musulmaņu kultūru ir ļoti negatīvs un vienpusīgs, un tas var pastiprināt neobjektīvu izpratni par Musulmaņu kultūru.

The topic of this research paper focuses on the way how the Muslim world and culture is represented by Salman Rushdie in his novels. The purpose of this research paper is to reveal and examine the aspects of Rushdie’s depiction of the Muslim world in his works. Methods for achieving this purpose include literature review, and analysis of Rushdie’s works. The results will describe Rushdie's attitude towards and opinions of the Muslim culture. It is concluded that his view on the Muslim culture is very negative and one-sided and may reinforce a biased perception of the Muslim culture.
