Vārdu krājuma apguve ar ekstensīvās lasīšanas palīdzību

Abstract

Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt un analizēt ekstensīvās lasīšanas ietekmes līmeni uz studentu vārdu krājumu, kā arī noteikt stratēģijas, kas var uzlabot lasīšanas izpratni untādējādi paplašināt studentu vārdu krājumu. Šī pētījuma teorētiskā daļa veltīta ekstensīvās un intensīvās lasīšanas teoriju, stratēģiju, vārdu krājuma jēdzienu un skolotāja lomas analīzei; aplūkotas arī problēmas, ar kurām studenti un skolotāji sastopas lasīšanas procesā. Empīriskajā daļā apkopoti nepieciešamie dati un izklāstīta autores pētījuma analīze. Praktiskajā daļā aprakstīti iegūtie dati par vārdu krājuma un efektīvāku pirms-lasīšanas un lasīšanas laikā pielietojamo stratēģiju novērtēšanu, kas varētu atvieglot lasīšanas procesu. Šī pētījuma rezultāti pierāda, ka ekstensīvā lasīšana paplašina studentu vārdu krājumu un irsvarīgs instruments tā apguvēa.

The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze the degree of influence of extensive reading on students’ vocabulary, as well as to identify the most effective strategies for improving reading comprehension and, as a result, enriching students’ vocabulary. The theoretical part of this study concentrates on the theories of intensive and extensive reading, the strategies, the concept of vocabulary, the role of a teacher, and the problems that students and teachers encounter in the process of reading. The empirical part focuses on obtaining the necessary data and presents the analysis of the author’s research. The practical study includes data on vocabulary and evaluation of the most significant pre- and while-reading strategies that could facilitate the reading process. The results of this research prove that extensive reading expands students’ vocabulary, and it can be considered a great tool in vocabulary acquisition.
