LU ĢZZF ģeogrāfijas studiju programmas absolventu nodarbinātība Latvijā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “LU ĢZZF ģeogrāfijas studiju programmas absolventu nodarbinātība Latvijā” analizēta ģeogrāfijas bakalaura un maģistra studiju programmu absolventu nodarbinātība. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt ģeogrāfijas studiju programmu absolventu nodarbinātības raksturu. Darba ievadā aprakstīta ģeogrāfijas izglītības nozīme, augstāko izglītību ieguvušo pieprasījums darba tirgū un studiju iespējas Latvijā. Darbam izmantoti 2021.gada tautas skaitīšanas dati, Ekonomikas ministrijas dati par pārmaiņām Latvijas darba tirgū, Valsts ieņēmuma dienesta dati par profesijām, kā arī Izglītības un zinātnes ministrijas absolventu monitoringa dati par pēdējo četru gadu absolventiem. Rezultātu nodaļās analizēta ģeogrāfijas studiju programmu absolventu nodarbinātība, profesionālā kvalifikācija, saistīto profesiju dinamika un iegūto kompetenču pielietojums ikdienas darbā. Bakalaura darbu veido anotācijas, ievads, 4 nodaļas, bet galvenie rezultāti apkopoti secinājumos un priekšlikumos. Darba noslēgumā iekļauts literatūras un izmantoto avotu saraksts. Teksta kopējais apjoms ir 50 lapaspuses, ietverot 2 pielikumus.

The bachelor thesis “Characteristics of graduate employability: the case of the Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences of the University of Latvia study programmes in Geography” analyses the level of employment of graduates of geography bachelor and master study programmes, employment fields and professional qualifications, and skills and competencies acquired during studies. The study aims to investigate the nature of employment of geography graduates. The introduction describes the importance of geography education, the labour market demand for geography graduates and study opportunities in Latvia. The work is based on the 2021 census data, the information on changes in the Latvian labour market according to the Ministry of Economics, the State Revenue Service data on jobs by occupations, and the monitoring data of graduates over the past four years provided by the Ministry of Education and Science. The results chapters analyse the employment, professional qualification, dynamics of related jobs and the application of acquired skills and competencies in the everyday work of geography graduates. The bachelor thesis consists of annotations, an introduction, and four chapters, while the main results are summarised in conclusions and proposals. The thesis concludes with a list of references and sources used. The entire text is 50 pages, including two annexes.
