Tēli T.Dreizera romānā "Māsa Kerija"

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs apskata Teodora Dreizera romānu “Māsa Kerija.” Darba pirmās nodaļas iepazīstina ar T. Dreizera biogrāfiju un romāna tapšanu. Tiek aplūkoti tie notikumi autora dzīvē, kurus Dreizers ir iedzīvinājis romānā “Māsa Kerija”. Darbā ir iekļauta arī literatūras teorija, kas saistīta ar literāro tēlu raksturu un rīcības analīzi. Bakalaura darbs sniedz visaptverošu Kerijas, Hērstvuda un Druē tēlu raksturojumu, taču darba galvenais mērķis ir triju galveno varoņu iekšējo un ārējo konfliktu analīze, kā arī noteikšana, vai konflikti ar, kuriem saskaras galvenie varoņi, tiek atrisināti. Pētnieciskā darba rezultātā tika nonākts pie secinājuma, ka katra varoņa liktenis ir viņa paša rokās par spīti tam, ka dzīves apstākļi sagādā tiem visdažādākos šķēršļus.

The Bachelor Paper looks at T. Dreiser’s novel “Sister Carrie.” Paper’s first Chapters introduce with T. Dreiser’s biography and the making of the novel. The Bachelor Paper looks at those events in the author’s life, which he has enlivened in the novel “Sister Carrie.” The paper includes literary theory on characterisation and characters. It gives a comprehensive characterisation of Carrie, Hurstwood and Drouet. The aim of the paper is to analyse the internal and external conflicts the main three characters face, as well as to determine if those conflicts are solved or not. As a result of this research the following conclusion was made: the fate of each separate character is in its own hands despite the various obstacles the characters must face.
