Abstract
Maģistra darbs apskata biznesa terminoloģijas mācīšanas līdzekļus un metodes. Tā mērķis ir atklāt aktivitātes, kas palīdzētu studentiem ar vidējā līmeņa angļu valodas zināšanām visefektīvāk apgūt specializēto terminoloģiju. Pētījuma teorētiskā daļa apskata valodas mācīšanas aspektus, kurus jāņem vērā skolotājam, kas vada angļu valodas speciāliem mērķiem mācīšanās procesu, kā arī sniedz ieskatu dažās biznesa angļu valodas īpatnībās. Praktiskajā daļa autors apspriež studentu vajadzību analīzi, leksikas vingrināšanas aktivitātes un eksperimentālā pētījuma rezultātus, kas rāda, ka izvēlētās aktivitātes stimulē mācīšanās procesu un palīdz studentiem apgūt jauno biznesa angļu valodas terminoloģiju.
The present master thesis examines the ways and means of teaching Business English terminology. Its goal is to discover the activities that would help the students with intermediate level English knowledge to acquire specialized terminology in the most efficient way. The theoretical part of the research deals with aspects of vocabulary teaching the ESP instructor has to follow conducting the teaching process, and gives an insight into some peculiarities of Business English. The empirical part discusses the results of the needs analysis, vocabulary practice activities and findings of the pilot study, which reveals that the selected activities stimulate the learning process and help the students acquire new Business English terminology.
