Abstract

“Individuālais lēmuma pieņēmējs starptautiskajā lēmumu pieņemšanā: Līdera loma nevalstisko aktoru – teroristisko organizāciju darbībā” ir pētījums, kurā tiek aplūkotas džihādiskās teroristiskās organizācijas, to darbība, hierarhiskā struktūra un līdera loma šajā struktūrā. Pētījuma galvenais mērķis ir atbildēt uz jautājumu – cik svarīga ir līdera loma džihādistu teroristiskā organizācijā un vai dekapitācija kā pretterorisma stratēģija ir pietiekami efektīva, lai ietekmētu teroristiskās organizācijas pastāvēšanas ilgumu un spēku, vai arī šāda pretterorisma stratēģija sniedz pretēju rezultātu un saasina situāciju, radikalizējot organizācijas biedrus.

"The individual decision-maker in international decision-making process: The role of the leader in the activities of non-state actors – terrorist organizations" is a study that looks at jihadist terrorist organizations, their activities, hierarchical structure and the role of the leader in this structure. The main aim of the study is to answer the question of the importance of leadership in a jihadist terrorist organization and whether decapitation as a counter-terrorism strategy is effective enough to influence the duration and strength of a terrorist organization, or whether such a counter-terrorism strategy has the opposite effect and exacerbates radicalization.
