Biežāk lietojamās angļu valodas mācību metodes Latvijas skolās

Abstract

Diplomdarbs veltīts tēmas „Biežāk lietojamās angļu valodas mācību metodes Latvijas skolās” izpētei. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt biežāk lietojamās angļu valodas mācību metodes Latvijas skolās. Pētījums sastāv no teorētiskās un praktiskās daļām. Autors skar tādas tēmas kā skola, izglītības sistēma Latvijā un angļu valodas apmācība vidusskolās. Tiek pētītas prāta spēju dažādība un psiholoģiskās īpatnības, kas raksturīgas skolas vecumam. Autors apspriedis arī skolēnu vajadzības un cerības no skolēnu, viņu vecāku un administrācijas viedokļa. Apstrādātie un interpretētie dati ļauj secināt, ka skolēnu individuālās psiholoģiskās īpatnības, kā arī skolēnu vajadzības un cerības, ietekmē skolotāju angļu valodas mācību metožu vai to kombināciju izvēli apmācības procesā.

The present diploma paper is devoted to the research on the theme “Most Frequently Used ELT Methods at Schools of Latvia”. The purpose of this study is to examine the ELT methods that are most frequently used at schools of Latvia. The research consists of the theoretical and practical parts. The author touches upon such subjects as school, the system of education in Latvia and teaching the English language at secondary schools. The diversity of learners’ intelligences and psychological characteristics peculiar to the school age are explored. Learners’ needs and expectations from the point of view of learners, their parents and school administration are also discussed by the author. The data processed and interpreted allow to draw the conclusion that psychological individual peculiarities of learners and as well as learners ’needs and expectations influence the teachers’ choice of ELT methods or combinations of them in the teaching/learning process.
