Gramatiskās metaforas lietojums Britu Nacionālas partijas diskursā

Abstract

Pētījuma temats ir gramatiskās metaforas lietojums Britu Nacionālās Partijas diskursā. Pētījuma mērķis bija novērtēt ideacionālās metaforas nozīmi BNP diskursā. Saskaņā ar autores izvirzīto hipotēzi, ideacionālās metaforas partijas diskursā ir plaši pielietotas. Par pētījuma metodi tika izvēlēta diskursa analīze, pamatojoties uz Sistēmiski Funkcionālās valodniecības viedokli par gramatisko metaforu. Korpusa analīze parādīja, ka BNP publikācijās izmantotās ideacionālās metaforas paaugstina diskursa reģistra formalitāti un autoritāti, kā arī sniedz papildus iespējas attieksmes paušanai. Pētījums var būt noderīgs gramatiskās metaforas studijās, kā arī pētot gramatiskās metaforas lomu politiskajā diskursā. The goal of the research was to evaluate the role of ideational metaphor in the discourse of the BNP. According to the hypothesis proposed by the author, ideational metaphors are widely used in the discourse of the Party. The method used for the research was discourse analysis considering Systemic Functional Linguistics’ perspective to analyse grammatical metaphor. Corpus analysis demonstrated that ideational metaphors applied in the publications of the BNP contributed to the enhancement of discourse register and authoritativeness, as well as provided opportunities for expressing attitudes. The research may be useful in the studies of grammatical metaphor and the use of grammatical metaphor in political discourse.
