Sieviešu ķermeņu attēlojums A.S.Baietas darbā "Mazā melnā stāstu grāmata"

Abstract

Šajā darbā tiks apskatīts sievietes ķermeņa attēlojums, kas ir attēlots piecos stāstos, ko ir sarakstījusi Antonija Sūzena Baieta. Visi šie stāsti ir apkopoti vienā grāmatā, kuras nosaukums ir „Mazā melnā stāstu grāmata”. Šajā darbā es pētīšu sekojošus stāsta aspektus: sievietes ķermeņa uztvere gan sievietēm, gan vīriešiem, kā arī cilvēka ķermeņa un cilvēka iekšējās pasaules savstarpējā saistība. Tiks analizēti sekojoši A.S.Baietas stāsti: „Lieta mežā”; „Ķermeņa māksla”; „Akmens sieviete”; „Izejmateriāls” un „Rozā lente”. Sevišķa uzmanība tiks pievērsta sievietes ķermeņa tēlam šajos stāstos. Šajā darbā es analizēšu arī lomu, ko spēlē vīriešu kārtas varoņi un viņu attiecības ar sieviešu kārtas varonēm. Analizējot šos aspektus, es apskatīšu, kā ķermeņa tēls tiek attēlots un kāda ir tā nozīme. Pielietojot feminisma un postmodernisma teorijas, es izpētīšu, kā stāsti tiek uztverti saskarsmē ar lasītāja kultūras pamatiem. Manā darbā tiks aplūkots arī jautājums par to, kā mainās galveno varoņu savstarpējās attiecības viņu ārējā izskata īpatnību dēļ.

This paper will deal with the images of the female body that are presented in the five stories written by Antonia Susan Byatt. All these stories are collected in one book named “Little Black Book of Stories”. In this work I will examine the following aspects of the stories: the perception of the female body by both, women and men, as well as the correlation between a person’s body and a person’s interiority. The following A. S. Byatt’s stories will be analysed: “The Thing in the Forest”, “Body Art”, “Stone Woman”, “Raw Material”, and “Pink Ribbon”. Particular attention will be paid to the images of the female body in the stories. In the paper I will also analyse the role that male characters play and their relations with the female characters. Analysing these aspects, I will examine how the body images are presented, and what meanings they convey. Drawing on feminist and postmodernist theories, I will examine how the stories are perceived in interrelation with the cultural background of the reader. My paper will also deal with the question of how characters’ interiorities are changed by the peculiarities of their appearances.
