Abstract
Ar dažādiem ķīmijas un ķīmijas tehnoloģijas jautājumiem saistītu tekstu tulkošana no angļu valodas latviski ir relatīvi jauna problēma, kas saistīta ar izplatītākās starpnacionālās saziņas valodas maiņu no krievu valodas uz angļu valodu.
Diplomdarba I daļā apskatītas tulkojumzinātnes teorētiskās atziņas par pieeju ķīmijas nozaru tekstu tulkošanai, bet II daļā apskatīti dažādi ar to tulkošanas problēmu praktisku risinājumu saistīti jautājumi ar praktiskiem piemēriem.
Pielikumos ievietotas ķīmijas tekstu tulkošanai noderīgas terminu kopas vai atsauces uz tām.
Pēc secinājumiem, kas izriet no darbā izskatītajiem jautājumiem, izteikti ierosinājumi ar šā tipa tekstu tulkošanu saistīto problēmu risinājumiem – tulkotāja lomas aktivizēšanu un starpdisciplināru pieeju. Darba kopējais apjoms 82. lpp
Translation of texts related to different branches of chemistry and chemical engineering from English into Latvian is a problem caused by rapid change from Russian into English as the main language used for international communication Part I provides an overview of the applicable theoretical approaches and concepts of the Translation Studies to be used for translation of chemistry related texts; part II presents different issues related to the practical solutions of problems Additional relevant term sets are included or referenced in the annex. On the basis of the conclusions drawn in the course of study the author comes forth with several suggestions regarding translation of chemistry related texts, namely using interdisciplinary and pro-active approach.
