Autentiskie materiāli angļu valodā studentu vārdu krājuma bagātināšanā 9.klasē

Abstract

Diplomdarbs pēta veidus, kā var bagātināt 9. klases skolēnu vārdu krājumu ar autentisko materiālu ieviešanu un izmantošanu angļu valodas stundās. Darba teorētiska daļa sniedz ieskatu par autentiskuma jēdzienu, autentisko materiālu izmantošanas priekšrocībām un trūkumiem valodas apguves procesa laikā un par apgūstāmas leksikas izvēles metodēm turpmākajai stundu plānošanai. Gadījuma analīze tika izvēlēta kā galvenā empīriskā pētījuma metode, kuras mērķis ir izpētīt izglītojamo leksikas kompetences līmeni. Secinājumu ticamībai tiek izmantota vairāku datu vākšanas metode un, pamatojoties uz iegūtiem datiem, kuri tika saņemti no divām anketām, klases novērošanas un diviem testiem, tiek secināts, ka autentiskus materiālus var izmantot angļu valodas stundās vārdu krājuma bagātināšanai.

The present Diploma Paper researches the ways of enriching the vocabulary of Form 9 English language learners with the introduction of authentic materials during language lessons. The theoretical part of the Paper gives an insight on the notion of authenticity in the classroom, advantages and disadvantages of the use of authentic materials during the process of language acquisition and vocabulary selection methods for further lesson planning. The case study is chosen as the main empirical research method, which is aimed at the exploration of students’ level of lexical competence. Multiple data collection method is applied for the credibility of findings and based on the data received from two performed questionnaires, a classroom observation and two assessment tests it is concluded that authentic materials can be used within a language learning classroom for vocabulary enrichment.
