Imigrantu Integrācija. Trešo kultūru bērni: Latvija un Vācija

Abstract

Arvien vairāk ģimeņu migrē, kļūstot par globāliem nomadiem un attīstot transnacionālu identitāti. Tāpēc lielāka uzmanība jāpievērš imigrantu bērniem, jo īpaši gados jaunāki cilvēki kļūst par trešās kultūras bērniem. Tā ir kultūra, kas ir atšķirīga no dzimtās zemes un mītnes zemes kultūras. Latvijā un Vācijā ir līdzīga problēma – izglītības sistēma nav pietiekami adaptēta imigrantu bērniem. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt konceptu „trešās kultūras bērni” un pieejamo informāciju par tešo valstu bērnu integrāciju abās valstīt, piemērojot kvalitatīvo pētniecības metodi, lai apkopotu un analizētu datus. Latvija un Vācija nesen sāka izstrādāt integrācijas politiku, lielāku uzmanību pievēršot pieaugušo integrācijai. Lielāka uzmanība būtu jāpievērš bērnu integrācijai, sākot jau ar izglītības sistēmu.

More and more families are migrating around the world becoming global nomads and developing transnational identities. Therefore, more attention should be paid to immigrants’ children as especially younger people may become the representatives of the third culture. It is a culture that is in between their parents’ one and the new one. Latvia and Germany are facing similar problems that education system is not sufficiently organised in order to meet the demands of immigrant children. The goal of the Master’s thesis is to investigate the concept “third culture kids” and the available information on the integration of the third-country children in both states and to apply qualitative research method when gathering and analysing data. Latvia and Germany have started developing integration policies relatively recently paying more attention to the integration of adults. Therefore, more attention should be paid to the integration of children through education system already.
