Abstract
Diplomdarbā „Mākslas darbu izmantošanas iespējas sociālo zinību stundās” tika izvirzīts
mērķis izstrādāt metodisko materiālu sociālo zinību apguvei, izmantojot mākslas darbus. Lai sasniegtu mērķi, tika izvirzīti uzdevumi izpētīt mākslas darbu izmantošanas iespējas sociālo zinību stundās, izpētīt skolēnu vecuma psiholoģiskās īpašības, izstrādāt stundu norises plānus un veikt darba analīzi. Pētījumu rezultātā tika izstrādāts metodiskais materiāls sociālo zinību stundām.
Darba autore secina, ja skolotājs mācību procesā izmanto metodisko materiālu ar mākslas
darbu reprodukcijām, skolēni labāk izprot vērtības un sabiedrībā pieņemtās ētiskās normas un principus, viņi tiek rosināti brīvi paust un pamatot savu tikumisko izvēli, tiek rosināti pašizziņas attīstīšanai, tiek emocionāli bagātināti un iesaistīti un izglītoti kultūras procesos.

The present Diploma Paper THE APPLICATION OF ARTWORKS IN SOCIAL SCIENCE LESSONS has been worked out with the aim to design a set of teaching aids based on artworks. To achieve and fulfil the aim of the paper the following objectives were set forward: to study the use of artworks in social science lessons, to study the psychological characteristics of teenagers, to design lesson plans and carry out the analysis. As a result of the research a set of teaching aids for social science lessons was designed. The author of the Diploma Paper has concluded that if a teacher brings the set of teaching aids based on artworks into his/ her classroom, students can develop a better understanding of values and socially accepted moral norms and rules, they are more motivated to voice their own point of view and their choices as well as develop their self-actualization; the students become emotionally enriched, and are involved and educated in cultural processes.
