Abstract

Diplomdarbs temats – atbalsta funkcija sociālajā darbā ar paliatīvās aprūpes klientiem un viņu ģimenēm: sociālā darbinieka lomas. Saskaņā ar pētījuma tematu, tika izvirzīts pētījuma mērķis - teorētiski pētīt un analizēt sociālā darbinieka atbalsta funkcijas izmantošanu un lomas sociālajā darbā ar paliatīvās aprūpes klientiem un viņu ģimenēm. Izmantojot dažādu zinātnieku un praktiķu atziņas, tika analizēta paliatīvās aprūpes vēsturiskā attīstība, sociālais darbs mūsdienu paliatīvajā aprūpē un pamatota atbalsta sistēmas un atbalsta funkcijas nepieciešamība un nozīmīgums paliatīvajā aprūpē. Galvenie secinājumi pētījuma izstrādes gaitā – sociālie darbinieki ikdienā ar paliatīvās aprūpes klientiem un viņu ģimenēm pilda tikai dažas no nepieciešamajām lomām atbalsta funkcijā, turklāt īsti neizprotot, ko ietver atbalsta funkcija. Sociālo darbu paliatīvajā aprūpē nepieciešams pilnveidot, izveidojot vienotus aprūpes standartus sociālajiem darbiniekiem, un piedāvājot papildus zināšanu un prasmju apguves iespējas saistībā ar sociālā darba būtību paliatīvajā aprūpē. Turklāt, ļoti būtiski nepieciešams ir veikt padziļinātus pētījumus par paliatīvo aprūpi Latvijā, sociālā darbinieka lomām un atbalsta funkciju.

Diploma work’s subject – support function in social work with clients of palliative care and their families: roles of social worker. In accordance with subject, the aim of the research work was determined - theoretically research and analyse the use of support function and roles in social work with clients of palliative care and their families. Using various scientists and practitioners’ cognitions, the development of palliative care history, social work in nowadays was analysed and the support systems and the necessity of support function, and importance in palliative care were reasoned. The main conclusions of research work’s development process – social workers everyday with clients of palliative care and their families are fulfilling only some of the necessary roles in the support function, besides darkly understanding what does support function includes. The social work in palliative care is requisites to improve, forming united care standards for social workers and offering extra acquisition potentiality of knowledge and skills in association with social work entity in palliative care. Moreover, it is very urgently needed to realize more profound researches about palliative care in Latvia, roles of social worker and support function.
