Datu transformāciju iespējas Oracle vidē

Abstract

Datu transformācijas ir laikietilpīgs process regulārajās ielādēs. Tām jānotiek ātri, noteiktās laika robežās. Uzņēmuma datu noliktavā tiek izstrādāts viens problēmas risinājums, nevis vairāki, izvēloties ātrdarbīgāko, tāpēc autors apskata vairākas transformāciju alternatīvas 4 problēmu risināšanai: 1. Hierarhisko datu vairāku līmeņu attēlošanai rindā; 2. Hierarhisko slēguma datu attēlošana rindā; 3. Divu vēstures tabulu apvienošana ar pārklājošiem periodiem 4. Vēstures tabulas vispārināšana, pārrēķinot sākuma un beigu datumus. Praktiskajā daļā katrai no problēmām tika atrasti/izstrādāti, aprakstīti un salīdzināti 2 – 3 risinājumi, starp kuriem noteikts ātrākais izpildes laiks attiecīgās problēmas ietvaros un salīdzināts ar uzņēmumā lietoto.

Data transformations are time-consuming processes in the regular data loading. Transformations have to be rapid in order to be completed within the given time frame. There is only one solution developed in the enterprise’s data warehouse instead of reviewing several ones due to the time constraint. Therefore, the author explores several data transformation alternatives in order to solve 4 given problems: 1. Multiple levels of hierarchical data reflected in a single row; 2. Hierarchical connection data reflected in a single row; 3. Merge of 2 history tables with overlapping periods; 4. History table generalization by recalculating start and end dates. In the practical part for each of the problems 2 to 3 solutions were explored/developed, reviewed and compared. Further on, the fastest solution was found per the given problem and compared to the one used in the enterprise.
