Māsu ētisko izaicinājumu analīze paliatīvās aprūpes nodaļās

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Māsu ētisko izaicinājumu analīze paliatīvās aprūpes nodaļās”. Latvijā ik gadu paliatīvā aprūpe ir nepieciešama ap 20000 cilvēku. Šāda aprūpe tiek nodrošināta gan pacientu dzīvesvietās, gan stacionāros. Paliatīvās aprūpes un stacionāra specifikas rezultātā māsas regulāri sastopas ar dažādiem ētiskiem izaicinājumiem, kuru rezultātā ir sarežģīti pieņemt lēmumus par labāko iespējamo aprūpi pacientam. Pētnieciskajā darbā, izmantojot kvalitatīvo pētniecības metodi- daļēji strukturētu interviju, tika iegūti rezultāti, no kuriem tika secināts, ka ētiskie aprūpes aspekti māsu ikdienas darbā ir svarīgi un ētisko principu ievērošanu stacionārā ietekmē gan pacientu pašaprūpes trūkums, gan tuvinieku aktīva iesaistīšanās pacientu aprūpē, gan pašu darbinieku zināšanas un izpratne par ētiskajiem principiem, morāle un laika resursu trūkums saskarsmei ar pacientiem.

The topic of the bachelor thesis is "Analysis of nurses' ethical challenges in palliative care units". In Latvia, about 20000 people need palliative care every year. Such care is provided both in patients' homes and in hospitals. As a result of the specificities of palliative care and hospitals, nurses are regularly confronted with various ethical challenges that make it difficult to make decisions about the best possible care for the patient. The results of the qualitative research, using semi-structured interviews, showed that ethical aspects of nursing care are important in the daily work of nurses and that adherence to ethical principles in inpatient settings is influenced by the lack of patient self-care, the active involvement of relatives in patient care, the knowledge and understanding of ethical principles by staff, staff and patient moral and lack of the time resources for interacting with patients.
