Transpersonu vienlīdzība sportā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Transpersonu vienlīdzība sportā” mērķis ir izpētīt vienlīdzības sportā un dzimuma maiņas jēdzienu būtību, izvērtēt regulējumu, kas nosaka transpersonu iespējas piedalīties sporta sacensībās, kā arī ar to saistītos riskus. Darba mērķu sasniegšanai autors izvirzīja uzdevumus izpētīt vienlīdzības principa vēsturisko attīstību un darbību mūsdienās, noskaidrot kritērijus dzimuma juridiskajai maiņai un aplūkot ārvalstu un starptautisko pieredzi, aplūkot, kādi nosacījumi tiek izvirzīti transpersonu dalībai sieviešu un vīriešu sportā un to piemērošanu. Pētījumā secināts, ka Latvijas sporta tiesībās trūkst diskriminācijas aizlieguma principa, dzimuma maiņas juridiskais regulējums Latvijā ir nepilnīgs un netiek veltīta pietiekama uzmanība drošības aspektam transpersonu dalībai gan sieviešu, gan vīriešu sportā.

The objectives of bachelor’s thesis “Transgender people equality in sports” are to research the terms equality in sports and gender change and to evaluate the rules which govern transgender people rights to participate in sports competitions and the risks with it. To achieve the objectives of the thesis, the author researched the historical development of the principle of equality and its effect nowadays, searched criteria for legal gender reassignment in Latvia and compared it to the foreign and international regulation and looked at the preconditions for transgender people participation in women and men sports and their application. The author found problems with the lack of prohibition of discrimination in Latvian sports law, gender reassignment law in Latvia and insufficient attention to safety in transgender people participation in women and men sports.
