Bērnu literatūras tulkošanas īpatnības un ar to saistītās problēmas

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā pētīti bērnu literatūras tulkošanas aspekti, kā arī problēmas, kas saistītas ar to. Darba teorētiskajā daļā izklāstīti vispārīgi tulkošanas teorijas principi, kā arī minēti būtiskākie bērnu literatūras tulkošanas aspekti, savukārt praktiskajā daļā analizēti piemēri, kas ņemti no dažādu bērnu grāmatu tulkojumiem, lai uzskatāmi parādītu grūtības, ar kurām nākas sastapties bērnu literatūras tulkotājam, un aprakstīta arī darba autores pieredze šajā jomā. Darba mērķis ir pievērst uzmanību bērnu literatūras tulkojumu kvalitātei un veicināt bērna kā lasītāja lomas novērtēšanu.

The bachelor paper presents a research on aspects of translating children’s literature and several of the problems the translator has to deal with. The theoretical part of the paper gives a general overview of the main principles of translation theory and gives information about the most important aspects of translating for children, whereas the practical part provides an analysis of several examples taken from translations of different books for children in order to convincingly illustrate the problems that the translator has to face; in addition, the author’s experience with translating for children is described. The aim of the paper is to draw attention to the degree of quality of translating for children and to promote the appreciation of the child as a reader.
