Izaicinājumi dzejas tulkošanā (pamatojoties uz Josifa Brodska dzejoli „Letter to an Archeologist”)

Abstract

Šī pētījuma teorētiskajā daļā apskatīti šādi aspekti: ekvivalences jēdziens, tās veidi un definīcijas, dažādas pieejas dzejas tulkošanas problēmai, kā arī uz reakciju vērsta pieeja tulkojuma kvalitātes novērtēšanai un tās kritika.

Pētījuma praktisko daļu veido Josifa Brodska dzejoļa “Letter to an Archaelogist” un četru tā tulkojumu salīdzinoša praktiskā analīze, kā arī iepriekš minēto dzejas tekstu izraisīto reakciju salīdzinājums.

Pētījumā tika izmantotas šādas pētnieciskās metodes: teorētisko avotu izpēte un analīze, tulkoto materiālu salīdzinošā analīze, kā arī empīriskās izpētes metode, proti, semantiskās diferenciācijas metode.

The theoretical part of the given research covers the following aspects: the notion of equivalence, its types and definitions; different approaches to poetic translation; response-oriented approach to translation quality assessment and its criticism.

The practical part of this study constitutes a comparative practical analysis of the poem “Letter to an Archeologist” by Joseph Brodsky and its four Russian translations and includes, inter alia, the comparison of the responses evoked by the abovementioned poetic texts.

In the course of this study the following research methods were applied: investigation and analysis of theoretical sources, comparative analysis of translated materials, as well as a method of empirical research, namely, the semantic differential method.
