Izraēlas militāro darbību kvalifikācija atbilstoši “Konvencijai par genocīda nepieļaujamību un sodīšanu par to”

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tiek apskatīts, vai Izraēlas militārās darbības Gazas joslā pēc 2023. gada 7. oktobra būtu uzskatāmas kā genocīds saskaņā ar “Konvenciju par genocīda nepieļaušanu un sodīšanu par to”. Darba ietvaros tiek analizēts genocīda ka juridiska termina izcelsme, kā arī konvencijas izstrādes process, genocīda kā noziedzīga nodarījuma objektīvie un subjektīvie kritēriji, kā arī tiek analizēta Gazas josla vēsture kontekstā ar Izraēlas/Palestīnas konfliktu, un, caur Izraēlas darbību analīzi, tiek noskaidrots, vai Izraēlas darbības būtu nosakāmas ka genocīds.

In Bachelor’s thesis the author analyses should Israel’s military actions in the Gaza Strip after 7 October 2023 be considered as a genocide according to the “Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide”. Within the work the author will analyse the origins of genocide as a legal term as well as the creation process of the convention, objective and subjective criteria of the crime of genocide as well as history of the Gaza Strip in the context of Israel/Palestine conflict and through analysis of Israel’s actions the author will determine should Israel’s actions be considered as a genocide.
