Šizofrēnijas atainojums filmās

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Šizofrēnijas atainojums filmās” mērķis ir izpētīt un secināt par to, kā šizofrēnija tiek atainota filmā “Audekls”, “Brīnišķais prāts”, kā arī filmā “Solists”. Teorētiskajā daļā ir apskatīti šizofrēnijas simptomi, tās medicīniskie aspekti, reprezentācija, populārās kultūras raksturojums, kā arī psihisku saslimšanu reprezentācija un stigmatizēšana medijos, semiotika, kino valoda, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot skaņai un mizanscēnai, un naratīvs. Metodoloģiskajā daļā ir aprakstīta semiotiskā un naratīva analīzes metode, raksturots pētījuma dizains. Savukārt empīriskajā bakalaura darba daļā aprakstīts veiktais pētījums, izmantojot izvēlētās pētniecības metodes. Bakalaura darba beigās ir atrodami secinājumi, kas radušies pēc pētījuma veikšanas, kā arī informācijas avotu saraksts, kas tika izmantots darba izstrādē.

The aim of this bachelor thesis “The portrayal of schizophrenia in movies” is to find out and understand how schizophrenia is portrayed in the movie “Canvas”, “A Beautiful Mind” and the movie “Soloist”. The theoretical part of this thesis will look at the symptoms, medical aspects of schizophrenia, popular culture, the representation and stigmatization of mental illnesses in media, semiotics, film language, paying close attention to mise-en-scene and sound, and narrative. The methodological part will look at semiotic and narrative analysis, as well as the design of the research. The empirical part will consist of the desription of the research which was conducted using chosen research methods. The conclusions that occured after the research and the information sources used in this paper can be found at the end of the thesis.
