Dzeja un melanholija: A. Sekstones, S. Platas, V. Kriles un A. Skujiņas dzejas salīdzinošā analīze

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir apskatīt divas galvenās kopīgās tematiskās līnijas, kas raksturo Annas Sekstones, Silvijas Platas, Velgas Kriles un Austras Skujiņas dzeju, proti, koncentrēšanos uz domām par sevi un nāvi, analizējot un salīdzinot dzeju, ko rakstījušas nosauktās amerikāņu un latviešu dzejnieces. Teorētiskajā daļā ir apskatīta saistība starp garīgās veselības problēmām un radošajām izpausmēm, liekot uzsvaru uz depresijas un garastāvokļa svārstību ietekmi uz cilvēka kreativitāti. Turklāt šajā nodaļā iekļauti arī biogrāfiski fakti, kuri ir īpaši nozīmīgi, lai izprastu Annas Sekstones, Silvijas Platas, Velgas Kriles un Austras Skujiņas dzeju. Praktiskā daļa ir veltīta divu kopīgo dzejas tematu salīdzinošajai analīzei, ar kuras palīdzību veidojas vispārīgs raksturojums dzejniekam ar noslieci uz pašnāvnieciskumu.

The aim of this bachelor paper is to explore two major themes that are characteristic of the poetry written by two American and two Latvian female poets, namely, self-preoccupation and fascination with death by analyzing and comparing poems written by Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath, Velga Krile and Austra Skujiņa. The theoretical part deals with the discussion of the links between mental health problems and creativity with emphasis on the psychological condition of depression. Also, in this part I have included biographical facts that are crucial to understanding the poetry of Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath, Velga Krile and Austra Skujiņa. The practical part is devoted to the comparative analysis of the two main themes in their poetry, which characterize common moods and attitudes of the four poets who ended their lives by committing suicide.
