Abstract
Bakalaura darba „Benksijs: indivīda un varas mijiedarbība” mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā Benksija darbi palīdz atklāt indivīda un varas mijiedarbību. Teorētiskajās nodaļās aplūkoti diskursa teorijas aspekti ielu mākslas kontekstā, kā arī atklāta ielu mākslas kā teksta nozīme semiotikas prizmā. Metodoloģijā izmantota semiotiskā analīze, kā arī daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar Latvijas ielu mākslas pārstāvjiem. Benksija darbos indivīda un varas mijiedarbība ir viena no centrālajām tēmām, tādēļ bakalaura darbā tiek pētīts, kādus paņēmienus mākslinieks izmanto, lai atklātu šo attiecību sarežģīto raksturu un kritizētu varas izpausmju nesamērīgumu un liekulību.
The aim of the bachelor's thesis Banksy: the Interaction of the Individual and Power is to find out how Banksy's works help to reveal the interaction of the individual and power. Theoretical chapters discuss aspects of discourse theory in the context of street art, as well as disclose the role of street art as a text interpreted through the prism of semiotics. The methodology uses semiotic analysis, and the thesis also presents semi - structured interviews with representatives of Latvian street art. In Banksy's works, the interaction of the individual and power is one of the central themes, so the bachelor's thesis explores the techniques used by the artist to reveal the complex nature of this relationship and to criticize the disproportion and hypocrisy of power.
