Abstract
Kopš 2020. gada 9. augusta Baltkrievija ir nonākusi pasaules redzeslokā, valstī notiek plaši pret prezidenta vēlēšanu uzvarētāju, ilggadējo valsts vadītāju, Aleksandru Lukašenko vērsti protesti. Protesti Baltkrievijā vēl joprojām nav pierimuši, un plašsaziņas līdzekļos ir informācija, ka tie tiek organizēti, izmantojot mūsdienu komunikācijas formas. Pētījuma ietvaros sākotnēji tiek raksturots pilsoniskās līdzdalības jēdziens, atsevišķi izdalot virtuālās politiskās līdzdalības jēdzienu kā iespēju nedemokrātiskos režīmos iesaistīties politiskajos procesos valstī. Izrietot no virtuālās politiskās līdzdalības fenomena un tās plašās izplatības nedemokrātiskos režīmos, tiek sniegts ieskats publiskajā sfērā, tās saistību ar mediju un interneta brīvību. Šis pētījums skaidro kādiem mērķiem protestētāji izmanto mūsdienu komunikācijas formas un Baltkrievijas neatkarīgos medijus – informācijas izplatīšanai, saites izveidošanai vai tautas mobilizēšanai jauniem protestiem. Pētījuma empīriskajā daļā tiek veikta kritiskā diskursa analīze Baltkrievijas neatkarīgajos interneta medijos: Belsat TV, Telegram lietotnes kanālā NEXTA Live un elektroniskajā izdevumā CityDog.by laika posmā no 2021. gada 16. līdz 23. augustam.
Since 9 August 2020, Belarus has come to the forefront of the world news with widespread protests against the results of the presidential election and its winner, the long-term state leader Alexander Lukashenko. The protests in Belarus are still ongoing, and they are organized using modern communication forms. Within the framework of this research will be described the concept of civic participation, separately distinguishing the possibilities of virtual political participation in non-democratic regimes to take part in political processes. As a result of the phenomenon of virtual political participation and its widespread use in non-democratic regimes, will be provided insights into the concept of the public sphere and its relation to the nature of media and internet freedom. This study explains the main purposes of protesters in Belarus to use modern forms of communication and independent media in Belarus - to disseminate information, make links with other protesters or mobilize people for new protests. Within the empirical part of this research will be made a critical discourse analysis in various internet media of Belarus from 16 to 23 August 2020. These media are the Belsat TV, the Telegram application’s channel NEXTA Live and the electronic edition CityDog.by. Within the framework of critical discourse analysis, will be explained political and social context of discourse, the institutions and individuals involved in its creation, the thematization of discourse and the issues raised up. Keywords: internet media, civic participation, undemocratic regimes, public sphere, critical discourse analyses
