Iedzīvotāju novecošanās un tās ietekme uz pensiju sistēmas ilgtspēju Latvijā un Igaunijā.

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir „Iedzīvotāju novecošanās un tās ietekme uz pensiju sistēmas ilgtspēju Latvijā un Igaunijā” un tā mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā iedzīvotāju novecošanās ietekmē pensiju sistēmas ilgtspēju. Pētījumam izvirzīti šādi uzdevumi: demogrāfisko procesu un pensiju sistēmas teorijas izpēte, Latvijas un Igaunijas demogrāfisko norišu attīstību un abu valstu pensiju sistēmu salīdzinājums, jomas ekspertu intervēšana, lai uzzinātu aktualitātes un problēmas demogrāfisko procesu un pensiju jautājumos. Pētījuma rezultātā konstatēts, ka iedzīvotāju novecošanās nav lielākais drauds pensiju sistēmas ilgtspējai ne Latvijā, ne Igaunijā.

The theme of Master thesis is "Population ageing and its impact on the sustainability of pension systems in Latvia and Estonia" and purpose of Thesis is to clarify how population ageing affects the sustainability of pension system. In order to attain the Thesis’ purpose following tasks were nominated: demographic processes and pension system theory research, comparison of Latvian and Estonian demographical process development and comparison of pension system development of both countries, experts interviewing to detect current issues and problems of demographic processes and pension system. Result of research noted that the ageing population is not the greatest threat for the sustainability of pension system neither in Latvia and Estonia.
