Atkritumu apsaimniekošanas un pārstrādes nozares novērtējums

Abstract

Atkritumu plūsmu nav iespējams pilnībā novērst, tāpēc ir jānodrošina videi draudzīga un ilgtspējīga atkritumu apsaimniekošana. Bakalaura darbs izstrādāts ar mērķi izpētīt situāciju sadzīves atkritumu apsaimniekošanas, radīšanas un pārstrādes jomā Latvijā un izstrādāt priekšlikumus pārstrādāto atkritumu īpatsvara palielināšanai. Apkopojot statistiskos datus un pētījuma rezultātus, tika secināts, ka no 2002.-2010.gadam pārstrādāto sadzīves atkritumu apjoms pieaudzis par 470%, tomēr tikai aptuveni 7% no kopējā pārstrādes apjoma veido mājsaimniecību un tiem līdzīgie atkritumi. Pārstrādes apjomus var palielināt, veicinot iedzīvotāju aktivitāti atkritumu šķirošanā, padarot pieejamākus konteinerus šķirotiem atkritumiem, kā arī ieviešot jaunas tehnoloģijas, kas palielinātu materiālu pārstrādes kapacitāti, un uzsākot jaunu materiālu pārstrādi. As it is not possible to completely eliminate waste flow, it is crucial to ensure environmental friendly and sustainable waste management. The aim of the thesis is to explore the situation in the field of non-hazardous waste management, generation and recycling in Latvia and to formulate suggestions to increase the proportion of the recycled waste. The research and summary of the statistical data showed that from 2002 to 2010 the amount of recycled municipal waste increased by 470%, but only 7% of them were household or similar wastes. Recycling can be increased by promoting the activity of inhabitants in waste sorting, by enhancing the accessibility of containers for sorted waste, as well as by introducing new technologies that would increase the material processing capacity, and by recycling new materials.
