Abstract
Šajā darbā tika apskatīta teorētiskais pamatojums definīcijai uzņēmuma resursu plānošana (URP), tās attīstība un URP sistēmas izvēle gan teorētiskā gan praktiskā. Praktiskie aspekti tika apskatīti no autora redzesleņķa un iepriekšējās pieredzes.

In this study work describes theoretical proof for definition Enterprise resource planning (ERP), development and answers to question – “how to choose ERP system?” theoretical as well as in practical way. Practical way was described from author’s point of view as well as from his previous experience. Keywords: Information systems, URP, URP system of choice, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, OLAP, MRP.
