Pirmo Vispārējo latviešu Dziedāšanas svētku atspoguļojums presē. Reakcija, recenzijas, atsauksmes

Abstract

Dziedāšanas svētku tradīcijas aizsākums ir meklējams 19. gadsimta pirmajā pusē Ziemeļeiropas un Baltijas jūras reģiona valstīs. Pārņemot kordziedāšanas tradīciju no vācbaltiešiem, 1873. gadā tiek organizēti I Vispārējie latviešu dziedāšanas svētki. Multikulturālajā sabiedrībā tie iegūst plašu rezonansi, par ko liecina plašs latviešu un vācbaltiešu preses publikāciju skaits. Vienlaicīgi ar dziedāšanas svētku recenzijām tiek publicēti raksti, kas sniedz ieskatu par 1873. gada aktualitātēm, tendencēm starpkultūru attiecību nozarē un, galvenokārt, par latviešu tautas un kultūras attīstības līmeņa interpretāciju gan no vācbaltiešu, gan latviešu skatupunkta. Šajā maģistra darbā tiek pētītas un analizētas I un II Latviešu vispārējiem dziedāšanas svētkiem veltītās publikācijas latviešu un vācbaltiešu preses izdevumos, lai atklātu, latviešu tautas kā tēla uztveri pastāvošajā sabiedrībā. Tiek noskaidrotas latviešu tautas tēlu raksturojošas iezīmes, kā arī tiek apstiprināta izvirzītā hipotēze, ka I Vispārējo latviešu dziedāšanas svētku atspoguļojums presē kļūst par iemeslu jaunas latviešu tautas tēla iezīmes veidošanai II Vispārējos dziedāšanas svētkos.

The beginning of the singing festival tradition dates back to the first half of the 19th century in the Nordic and Baltic Sea region countries. Taking over the tradition of choir singing from the Baltic Germans, in 1873 the first General Latvian Singing Festival are being organized. In multicultural society they acquire a great resonance, as evidenced by the wide range of Latvian and Baltic German press publications. Simultaneously with the singing festival reviews, articles are being published, which provide an insight into the events of 1873, tendency in intercultural relations branch and, above all, about Latvian people and cultural development level interpretation from both the Baltic Germans and Latvian perspective. In this master’s work publications in Latvian and Baltic German press that are devoted to the 1st and 2nd General Latvian Singing Festival are being studied and analyzed, to discover how the image of the Latvian people is being perceived in the existing society. Specific features of the image of the Latvian people are being determined, as well the hypothesis is confirmed, that the 1st General Latvian Singing Festival press coverage is the reason for building a new image of the Latvian people in the 2nd General Latvian Singing Festival.
