Pašnāvnieku terorisms Eiropas Savienībā kopš 2005. gada

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir: Pašnāvnieku terorisms Eiropas Savienībā kopš 2005. gada. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāda ir teroristu pašnāvnieku loģika, kādi ir to mērķi, un, vai teroristu uzbrukumi ir efektīvi Eiropas Savienības teritorijā, ņemot vērā, ka šāda veida terorisms (pašnāvnieku terorisms) tiek izmantots arvien biežāk. Tiek izvirzītas sekojoša hipotēze: pašnāvnieku terorisms ir efektīvs līdzeklis terorisma mērķu sasniegšanā Eiropas Savienībā, tas sasniedzis pašu (teroristu) definēto mērķi. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, tiek analizēti pašnāvnieku terorisma gadījumi ES laika posmā no 2005. gada 7. jūlija līdz 2016. gada 14. jūlijam. Darbā tika izmantotas kvantitatīvās un kvalitatīvās pētījumu metodes Darba noslēgumā hipotēze tiek noraidīta.

The theme of master thesis is Suicide terrorism in European Union since 2005. The objective is to find out what is the logic of suicide terrorism, what are their objectives and whether terrorist attacks are effective within European Union, considering that this type of terrorism (suicide terrorism) is being used more and more frequently. There is also hypothesis proposed: suicide terrorism is an effective instrument in order to achieve the objectives of terrorism in European Union, it reaches goals defined by terrrorists. In order to achieve objective of thesis there are analyzed all cases of suicide terrorism in the EU from 7th July, 2005 to 14th July, 2016. The qualitative and quantitative methods have been used in the research. It was concluded that the proposed hypothesis is rejected.
