Abstract
Ezera nogulumu pētījumi spēj sniegt plašu informāciju par paleovidi. Tādēļ, balstoties uz litoloģiskajiem pētījumiem, pētījuma autors raksturojis Trikātas ezera paleovidi. Pētījums fokusējies ne tikai uz ezera organogēno nogulumu (gitija) pētījumiem, bet arī uz neorganisko-klastisko nogulumu pētījumiem. Pētījumā pielietotās metodes ir karsēšanas zudumu noteikšanas metode un magnētiskā jutīguma noteikšanas metode, kuras tiek plaši pielietotas paleolimnoloģiskajos pētījumos visā pasaulē.
A study of lithology variability in Trikata lacustrine sediments provide new insigne for using and determine palaeoenvironmental conditions by palaeolimnological research methods in other lake studies. This study focus not only on organic material (gyttja) sediments, but on clastic deposits as well. Thereby identification and characterization of organic and clastic facies together can be of value for understanding lake formation as it provides insight into palaeoenvironmental conditions. The loss on ignition and magnetic susceptibility methods are the fastest for eliminating organic/carbonate/inorganic matter and obtain information about lake magnetic palaeoenvironment.
